El 31 de agosto vinieron unos estudiantes de INTEC (Instituto Tecnológico de Santo Domingo) junto con la Profesora Karin Weyland a conocer nuestra comunidad y la cultura de los Congos.  Nos pareció interesante porque a ell@s les gusta compartir con los demás.  Conversamos sobre los que queremos ser en el futuro (publicistas, ingenieros, etc) , y  que debemos hacer para lograrlo... con esfuerzo y disposición todo se puede!

On August 31st, a group of students from INTEC (Technological Institute of Santo Domingo) brought by Professor Karin Weyland came to know our community and the Congo culture.  We thought it was interesting because they like to share with other people.  We talked about what we want to be in the future (engineers, publicists, etc.) and what we need to do to achieve it... anything is possible with effort and positive thinking!

El mismo día Sixto Minier, el capitán de la Cofradía  de lo Congo del Espíritu Santo celebró una serenata al  Cristo de los Milagros.  A continuación hay unas fotos de los rezadores que vinieron a la fiesta para que le llegue la ofrenda al Cristo de los Milagros, y ayude a todos los familiares de esa casa.  La Cofradía también celebró con su música de los Congos y preparó arroz con coco y carne para tod@s sus invitad@s.

On that same day, Sixto Minier, the Captain of the Brotherhood of the Holy Spirit celebrated a festivity in honor of the Christ of Miracles.  Below there are some photos of the prayer men who came to the festivity so that the family's offerings will reach the Christ of Miracles, and help all members of the house.  The Brotherhood also celebrated with their Congo music and prepared rice and coconut with meat for all their guests.
